Job Title: Research & Policy Director

Job Description:

The Research & Policy Director will be responsible for reading, researching, and drafting informational and policy memos in the area of civil justice. An intensive writing position, this individual will report directly to our Executive Director and have frequent interaction with our Board of Directors. The Research & Policy Director will also work closely with our Communications Director to alert the NYSTLA membership to changes in the law.

The ideal candidate has a college degree and background in policy work. Facility with Lexis or Westlaw databases is a must. Interest in the issues and preserving the civil justice system is crucial. He or she responds well under pressure, turns around writing assignments quickly, and is good at multitasking.
