Local 32BJ, SEIU, at the forefront of moving a progressive policy agenda, has 85,000 members in NY, CT, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA and DC. Its parent organization, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), is the nation’s largest union, uniting the strength of nearly 2 million workers. The Policy and Legislative Director oversees the union’s campaigns for Responsible Economic Development; directs the union’s efforts to win pro-worker Public Contracting Policy; manages the union’s campaigns to reform Health Care Policy; and collaborates with national staff at SEIU to develop a national policy agenda and model local policy initiatives.
