TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATE

Highly motivated individual needed to assist Brooklyn residents, organizations and businesses on public transit and transportation matters (including pedestrian and bikeway matters). 

Responsibilities include serving as transit and transportation liaison to providers, government agencies and community-based organizations; responding to constituent concerns; producing and directing projects, events, and initiatives to promote efforts of the Borough President’s Office; representing the Borough President at borough and citywide events and meetings; researching and analyzing federal, state, and city budgets, legislation, initiatives, and issues.

Requirements: NYC residency; excellent writing, interpersonal, and public-speaking skills; BA/BS degree; two years of full time experience; and NYS driver’s license. Knowledge of transportation and transit issues, city government, community boards, and neighborhoods in the borough of Brooklyn a plus.
